What a fucking pedestal you put me on. Getting arrested is not a badge of honor. Getting arrested means I can’t work where I wanna work. People are afraid of booking me. It’s exactly the opposite of what I want for myself. Do you know how much I hate knowing that half the people that come to see me are hoping I’m gonna get popped? Hoping they’ll have some great story to tell their friends over cheese and crackers? I want people to fucking laugh. Think and laugh, sure, but laugh. I’m a comic. An entertainer. Baggy pants, banana peels. I’m not the stand-up messiah. This is what I want. This is what I have worked for. Don’t you want this? Don’t you want to be here? Don’t you wanna know a thousand mental patients braved a fucking snowstorm to see you? That should be the goal.

the thing about Hannibal (2013) and Interview With the Vampire (2022) is that once you’ve seen both of them, you get trapped in the Infinite Feedback Loop Of Evil Gay People. you finish Hannibal and immediately you’re like “where can I get more of this exact kind of relationship on TV,” and so you watch IWTV. and then you finish IWTV and immediately you’re like “where can I get more of this exact kind of relationship on TV,” and so you watch Hannibal. you try to break the cycle by watching Killing Eve, but then you have to deal with season 4 of Killing Eve, and when you finish it you’re like “fuck I need something to feel better after that series finale,” so you watch IWTV. do you see the problem. someone needs to make another show where gay people make each other worse until the only way to resolve the tension between them is to literally consume each other. I am Sisyphus and Jacob Anderson is the bolder and Hugh Dancy is also the bolder and Sandra Oh is standing at the top of the mountain laughing at me. do you see. do you see.

rosenkranz-does-things:

a comic page depicting a scene from Nona the Ninth. there are three vertical panels with bright red frames. in the left and the right one there are two dead men lying face down in pools of blood. in the middle one there's Camilla, blue rim light framing her head and shoulders. in the bottom of the page there's Nona depicted from the back, her braids flowing in the water, a blue and a yellow jellyfish surrounding her.ALT
second page of the comic has three panels, one horizontal and two vertical ones. first panel depicts Nona, this time from the front, her eyes shining bright yellow, she's up to her nose in the dark water, the jellyfish circling her. on the left bottom panel there's a close-up of Camilla's eye, it's light gray. on the right panel there's Camilla's other eye, it's dark gray. between these panels Camilla stands, her back to the viewer, holding two knives coated in bright red blood.ALT

Camilla was crouched down, wiping her knives on one of their jackets. When she looked up, Nona was electrified. One of her eyes was a pale, pearlescent grey; the other one of her eyes was a deep, cool stone colour. Nona understood in a sudden shiver what she was looking at.
